December
The Somerset Art Weeks went well, enjoyed by myself along with Stoney, Sarah, Philippa, Mat and Nicola. The space at the Market House looked really good and showed off the work to good effect. Many pieces were sold from cards, lamps, prints and originals. The Museum staff sent us up visitors so the footfall was good considering it was a new venue for us, and up two flights of stone steps. We have asked to hire the hall again for next year’s Somerset Open Studios.
In October I ran a successful workshop for Bruton Art Society, tutored for the Wellbeing group in Frome and started tutoring for a home schooling in Gillingham, Dorset. Also, I showed three paintings in Bath at the Roper Gallery, Bath Art Studios. These were in the inaugural group exhibition for the New Bath Art Club. Currently, I have a small painting ‘Longleat Copse’, in The Raven, Bath in the Art Circle pint-sized exhibition.

Now settling into a quieter period, hoping to be able to start painting a commission of a local mill. However, before then I will be running a stand selling Pure Rooster products at the Frome Open Art Trail Christmas Art Market in the Bennett Centre, Frome. On all weekend Nov 30th and 1st December.
Alongside the commission I will be exploring expressive landscapes – messing about with paint in the studio!
